How we handle your data

The short version: we never store or show where you actually are.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your email address and, if you allow it, your name and profile picture. We store your email address and a first name.

During setup we ask for your padel level, which side you play, when you are usually free, and roughly where you play.

How we handle location

If you allow location access, your device gives us a precise coordinate. We do not keep it. Before anything is written to our database we round it to a grid of roughly one kilometre, and only that approximate point is stored.

Other players never see a coordinate. They see an approximate distance, bucketed to the nearest kilometre, and any clubs you have chosen to list.

If you would rather not share location at all, you can type a town or city instead. Matching will be less precise but everything still works.

Your photo

A profile photo is required. Before it is visible to anyone, it is checked automatically by Google Cloud Vision for explicit content. Photos that fail that check are deleted immediately and never shown.

Your photo is resized in your own browser before it is uploaded, so we never receive the original file or the camera metadata attached to it, including any location the photo was taken at.

You can replace or remove your photo at any time from your profile.

What other players can see

Your photo, your first name, your level band, which side you play, your general availability, your town and country, and an approximate distance. Your email address, your exact location and your full name are never shown.

Your rights

You can view and correct your profile at any time from the Profile tab. You can also delete your account there — that permanently removes your profile, your photo and your sign-in, and cannot be undone.

If you are in the UK or the EU you have rights under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure and portability.

Court data

Court and club information comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and is licensed under the Open Database Licence. It is public venue data and is unrelated to your personal information.
